Prepare For Medicare

Call Us (407) 513-2583

Requirements for you to qualify:

  1. USA Citizenship
  2. Either you or spouse has earned enough credits via Social Security or Railroad retirement (40 credits in 10 years)
  3. Either you or spouse is a government employee that has paid into Social Security via payroll tax

You qualify for full Medicare benefits under age 65 if:

  • You have been entitled to Social Security disability benefits for at least 24 months (which need not be consecutive); or
  • You receive a disability pension from the Railroad Retirement Board and meet certain conditions; or
  • You have Lou Gehrig’s disease (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), which qualifies you immediately; or
  • You have permanent kidney failure requiring regular dialysis or a kidney transplant — and you or your spouse has paid Social Security taxes for a certain length of time, depending on your age.

If you or your spouse meet these requirements, you will receive Part A (otherwise known as Hospital Coverage) at no cost.

If you are either a USA Citizen or been a legal resident for at least 5 years and have fewer than 40 credits, there is an option to pay a premium.

To receive Part B (Doctor and Outpatient Coverage) you will pay a premium. The credits mentioned above are not necessary.

To receive Part D (Prescription Coverage) you most likely will pay a premium, occasionally a carrier could offer a $0 cost premium. The credits mentioned above are not necessary.
